Christopher D. Stidham
Christopher D. Stidham is a 2001 graduate of Portage High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Valparaiso University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2010. Chris went on to Valparaiso University School of Law, graduating in May 2016. During law school, Chris interned with the Porter County Public Defender's office.
Chris has significant experience in economic development and local government matters having served as the Executive Director for the Portage Downtown Development Corporation and Portage Economic Development Corporation between 2003 and 2011. In 2011, Chris was elected to his first term as Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Portage where he oversees the city's $35 million annual budget. He was re-elected to a second term in 2015 and continues to serve today.
